Sarit Expo Centre
Quest Website Developers Ltd redesigned and rebuilt saritexpo.com for Sarit Expo Centre in Westlands, Nairobi: an events calendar with live search, guided booking for halls and exhibition stands, detailed hall specifications and an admin panel for the venue's own team. In a third-party reference check the client rated the project 100% for timelines, communication and budget.

Project Overview
Sarit Expo Centre is a purpose-built exhibition and conference venue in Westlands, Nairobi, opened as part of the expansion of Sarit, one of East Africa's largest shopping malls. It offers 3,300m² of column-free exhibition space across three halls, Arabuko, Loita and Cherengani, which combine into a single hall seating 5,500 theatre-style or 240 exhibition booths, with more than 1,500 parking spaces on site. The centre hosts hundreds of exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and launches every year, from the Nairobi International Book Fair to Big 5 Construct Kenya.
A venue like this is sold long before anyone walks through the door. Organisers compare hall dimensions and capacities from their desks, exhibitors want to reserve a stand, and the public wants to know what is on this weekend. Sarit Expo Centre asked Quest Website Developers Ltd to replace its older website with one that could serve all three audiences, and that its own team could keep current without calling a developer.
The brief was a full redesign and rebuild: a new visual identity for the site, a living events calendar, structured booking for venues and exhibition stands, detailed hall specifications, and an admin panel that lets Sarit's team publish events, manage enquiries and update every page themselves.
One Venue, Three Audiences
An exhibition centre's website has to work for the public, for event organisers and for exhibitors at the same time, and it has to change every week.
A Calendar That Never Stands Still
With hundreds of events a year, some run by Sarit Expo Centre and many by outside organisers, the "what's on" page is out of date the moment it is published by hand. Visitors need to see what is happening now, what is coming and what has passed, and to find a specific event quickly.
Enquiries That Need Structure
Booking a hall is not a one-line message. The venue team needs the event type, dates, times, expected attendance, preferred hall and facilities before it can answer. Exhibitors reserving a stand have a different set of questions again: which event, which stand type, what size.
Selling Space People Cannot See Yet
Organisers shortlist venues on hard numbers. Arabuko is 45m by 39m and seats 3,500; Loita seats 1,200; Cherengani 1,000; combined they seat 5,500. Those figures, along with kitchens, green rooms, exhibitor offices and outdoor space, had to be easy to find and easy to compare on a phone.
Why It Mattered
For a venue with 3,300m² of column-free space to fill, the website is the first site visit most organisers ever make.
How We Built It
A custom Laravel platform, designed around what each audience comes to do, with an admin panel behind it so the venue team runs the site day to day.
Discovery & Structure
Phase 1We mapped the three audiences and what each one needs to do: find an event, book a venue, reserve a stand. That produced the site structure you see today: Events, Venues, Services, Media, Partners and a Book Venue action that is always one click away.
Design
Phase 2A new look built on Sarit's green, with full-bleed venue photography and video, headline figures up front (visitors, exhibitors, events and venue spaces) and hall pages that put dimensions, area and theatre, banquet and booth capacities side by side.
Development
Phase 3Built on Laravel with Livewire and Alpine.js. The events calendar separates "Happening Now", "Upcoming" and "Past" and has instant search from any page. Venue booking is a guided four-step form (event details, venue, facilities, contact and review); exhibition-space booking is a three-step form covering six stand types from shell scheme to premium island. The ticketing flow is designed for M-Pesa, card and bank transfer with QR-code tickets by email.
Admin Panel, Compliance & Launch
Phase 4Sarit's team manages events, halls, partners, gallery, testimonials and blog posts from an admin panel, with no developer needed for day-to-day changes. The site launched with a cookie-consent manager that lets visitors accept, reject or customise analytics, an accessibility page, and Instagram content pulled into the homepage.
