Pro-Property Solutions

Quest Website Developers Ltd built Pro-Property Solutions' custom real estate platform in 2017 — a searchable property listings engine with WhatsApp-integrated leads, agent workflows, and a blog — and has maintained and evolved it for over nine years, scaling it from a 40-listing MVP to a platform that has moved 1,500+ plots.

Project Overview

Pro-Property Solutions Limited is a leading real estate company based in Kenya's Kikuyu and Kiambu corridor. Now in its second decade of operation, the company has grown organically from a small founding team to over 35 dedicated employees under directors Daniel Mwangi (Sales & Digital Marketing), James Maina (IT & Administration), and Kevin Magua (Finance & Operations). Proproperty specialises in buying, selling, and leasing commercial and agricultural land, residential properties, apartments, and real estate development projects across Kikuyu, Gikambura, Kamangu, Ondiri, Lusigetti, Kiambu, Naivasha, Thika, Syokimau, and surrounding service areas.

When Pro-Property approached Quest Website Developers Ltd in 2017, they were an ambitious young agency competing in a market where bigger real estate brands dominated online search. They had no digital home — prospective buyers could not browse land or plots online, agents relied entirely on phone calls and physical site visits, and every inquiry required manual follow-up. Property details lived scattered across spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads. Serious buyers searching "land for sale in Kikuyu" or "plots in Kamangu" never saw Pro-Property because the company simply did not exist on Google. The directors estimated they were losing 70% of potential online inquiries to competitors with even basic property websites.

They came to Quest Website Developers Ltd for something more ambitious than a brochure site: a living real estate platform where agents could list properties, buyers could filter by area and property type, and every listing came with one-tap Call and WhatsApp actions. They needed a custom logo to anchor a professional brand, a blog engine to publish guidance on title deeds and due diligence, and — crucially — a development partner who would grow with them for years, not hand over files and disappear. What started as a two-month build became a nine-year partnership powering their entire digital presence.

The Challenge

Invisible in a Crowded Market

A growing real estate agency with no online home, no brand identity, and no way for buyers to find them on Google.

No Digital Presence

In 2017, buyers searching "land for sale in Kikuyu" or "plots in Kamangu" found larger competitors on the first page while Pro-Property was invisible. Without a website, the agency had no way to showcase its growing inventory of residential plots, apartments, and commercial parcels to the thousands of Kenyans researching property purchases online each month.

Manual Listing Chaos

Property details lived in spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, and agents' notebooks. When a buyer called about a specific plot, agents spent 10 to 15 minutes locating current price, size, and title status. With inventory growing past 200 active listings, the team was drowning in manual coordination and losing track of which properties were sold, reserved, or still available.

Lost Inquiries

Buyers had only one way to reach Pro-Property: the office phone line. Missed calls, delayed callbacks, and the inability for buyers to browse listings after business hours meant an estimated 70% of online interest never converted into a conversation. Younger buyers who preferred browsing before calling were going elsewhere.

The Bottom Line

An estimated 70% of online property inquiries were flowing to competitors with even basic websites, while Pro-Property relied entirely on word-of-mouth and walk-ins.

Our Solution

How We Built It

A custom real estate platform with searchable property listings, agent-managed inventory, WhatsApp-integrated leads, and a content engine — built in 2017 and continuously evolved for nine years.

01

Discovery & Brand Strategy

Weeks 1-2

Quest Website Developers Ltd spent two weeks with the Pro-Property team mapping their sales process, interviewing agents about listing workflows, and auditing the top real estate sites operating in Kenya. The research revealed that buyers wanted area-based filtering (Kikuyu, Gikambura, Kamangu, Ondiri), one-tap contact via WhatsApp, and property detail pages clear enough to read on a 3G connection. In parallel, we kicked off logo design exploration to establish a brand identity that signalled trust and professionalism.

02

Logo & Visual Identity

Weeks 3-4

Our design team developed the Pro-Property logo system — a mark combining a stylised property silhouette with a clean "Pro-Property" wordmark. The palette prioritised green (growth, land) and warm accents (trust, warmth), and was tested across signage, business cards, and small mobile screens before approval. Every visual element was designed to scale from a WhatsApp avatar to a roadside billboard.

03

Platform Development

Weeks 5-10

Quest Website Developers Ltd built a custom PHP real estate CMS tailored to Kenyan land transactions: multi-image property listings with area, type, and price filters; agent accounts and admin workflows; dynamic WhatsApp deep links that pre-fill property details into the buyer's message; a blog engine for title-deed and due-diligence content; and property URLs engineered for SEO (for example /property/prime-residential-plots-in-kamangu~832). Search supports natural-language queries such as "land for sale in kamangu under 1 million".

04

Launch & Ongoing Partnership

Week 11 → Ongoing (9+ years)

We launched in late 2017 with 40 seed listings and trained the Pro-Property team to add properties, publish blog posts, and read analytics. What distinguished this engagement was what came next: nine years of continuous maintenance, feature releases, and platform evolution by Quest Website Developers Ltd — from adding the testimonials module and video integrations to scaling the database past 3,000 listings and 35+ agent accounts without a single major downtime incident.
